An engineer who followed the data

From car bodies and launch ramps to Python, SQL, and machine learning: the same instinct, find the root cause and fix the system, now applied to data.

Portrait of Sergey Kasatov
Fig. 1 · Subject Cologne, DE

For 17 years I developed car bodies and closures, audited suppliers, and managed launches for Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis programs. My highest-impact decisions were always data-driven: the KPI packs and quality trend reports I built moved the projects. So I retrained to work with data directly.

Today I use SQL, Python, Excel, and Tableau to analyze production and quality data, build KPI dashboards, and support root-cause analysis. In my engineering roles this approach delivered six-figure cost savings, up to €250k per initiative. Based in Cologne, open to Data Analyst, BI Analyst, and Operations Analyst roles across Germany: on-site, hybrid, or remote.
